A Virginia native, Dr. Fred Bagares studied biology at George Mason University and earned his osteopathic medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.  He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the prestigious Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago of Northwestern University.  To broaden his understanding of the musculoskeletal system, he then completed a fellowship in sports and spine medicine. Dr. Bagares is board certified in rehabilitation medicine and sports medicine through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  His clinical interests include biomechanics, rehabilitation medicine, pain science, spine care, electrodiagnostic medicine, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and medical education.
